Hello my names Lauren, I’m 28yo and 17W on Friday I got up from the sofa and blood just poured down my legs no pain at this point but all over the floor was blood in a panic I called for an ambulance and the pain got bad so I had gas and air, I was kept in and scanned the outcome was a small Hematoma. I’m so worried, has anyone else had one? Did it go? How did you cope? Was you ok? I really need someone real to relate to xxx

i had one and now have a healthy child. it was stressful i took some time off work and just tired to relax and not stress so much. think i bled for 6 weeks it was a very stressful time. i don't think the baby is at risk unless it's very close to a theheamitoma.
take it easy and good luck x

I had this, was a while ago now as DD is now 9. Happened around 13 wks, thought the worst and was kept in hospital overnight but had no further issues related to it through the pregnancy. Sorry I can’t remember all the details but don’t think it went away as such, it stayed visible as a shadow on the scans. Try not to worry too much Flowers

I had one with pregnancies one and two. Was a scary time but I had loads of extra scans and the haematomas were small abs got smaller over time. Gone by 16 weeks and those pregnancies are now 5 and 4 and causing havoc! You'll be fine. Try and relax, I know that can be hard but unless it's really big and directly above the fetus you should be fine

I had one about 9 weeks when pregnant with my DD. It wasn't painful though just a lot of blood.

I'm amazed by the stories of hospitals and extra scans though, my maternity unit didn't give a damn! They said it was just one of those things and nothing they could do. We had extra private scans paid for by us to give us reassurance that there was still a heartbeat.

I had a SCH in my current pregnancy, it has completely resolved itself as is often the case. Try not to worry (easier said than done I know) Smile

I’m also 17 weeks and have a hematoma, I have had a few scary, heavy bleeds since I was about 9 weeks but the baby has always been ok when scanned. My last red bleed was 10 days ago but I’m still have brown blood on a daily basis. Due to the anxiety caused by this, following years even trying to reach this stage, I’m now having consultant led care, but tbh that has not reassured me in the slightest. I had my first appt with her this morning and she basically just told me my pregnancy was high risk and nothing they can do, didn’t even scan me/look at my previous scans or listen to the heartbeat.

Luckily most cases I’ve read about online have had a positive outcome. xx
