Buying from EBay

I'm currently looking through eBay the amount of baby clothes on there is unreal.
I'm bidding on lots 😜
Why do I have slight pangs of guilt that I should be buying brand new as this is my first baby!?
Anyone else buying lots from eBay? x

Pretty much all my baby stuff was second hand!! eBay, charity shops, NCT sales, hand me downs.... the only things you really ought to buy new are mattresses and car seats.

I am DC3 and I buying bundles off eBay good bargains and babies live in vests and babygrows for first few months anyway don't feel guilty xx

They grow so fast, I had so many clothes the babies never got to wear, as they grew out of them before. Very reasonable. If you can afford new then calculate the savings and put the money on a savings account - kids will not get any cheaper.

Thanks ladies, some wonderful clothes on there.
While I have you, what should I be dressing baby in, in the summer? Baby is due July x

My dd was born in August. I stuck to vests and leggings with a cardigan if she got cold and then baby grows in the evening.

Nothing wrong with second hand up until about 9 months ish (size dependent and amount of moment ) little ones barely wear through their clothes so alot of stuff looks brand new anyway

spugzbunny · 19/03/2019 22:07

I actually always felt the opposite. I feel so guilty buying new because it's so much money for something they barely wear! I stick to the more expensive brands all second hand. Most of her stuff is Boden, jojo, Frugi, gap, little bird etc. All for a fraction of the price I'd buy new.

You are saving the planet by buying second hand- I would feel guilty about buying new for that reason

MrsC87 · 20/03/2019 09:07

Thanks ladies, made some purchases last night 😊

I don't personally buy second hand due to bad experiences but I do get everything in the sales especially next when its half price! I also sell a lot of second hand stuff but I only sell when its like new xx

HeyCarrieAnneWhatsYourGame · 20/03/2019 09:32

God no, don’t feel bad. Everything apart from the mattress and the car seat was second hand for us, mainly from the NCT sales which are like Christmas. Enjoy the bargains!
