Hi ladies, I need you to send best wishes and help keep me sane... pretty please!!!

My period is due today, but I just had a feeling this month. Also been having a weird twinge in my belly button so thought I’d do a first response this morning on the off chance, and I’ve got a BFP!!!

I’m trying not to get excited because it’s so early but wow this is amazing :D

When did you tell your families?
Am I able to use a hot water bottle on my back?
Is it normal to be getting some period style cramps?

Sorry for all the Qs! Xx

In answer to your q's:
1- we told our family after the 12w scan confirmed everything was ok.
2- I've been using a hot water bottle on both my front and back all throughout my pregnancy for back, and fibroid pains. It 25 weeks now and all is well!
3- yes it is! I had a few panics with these pains and some spotting but this is normal and to be expected. If you have severe cramps and bleeding then head to your local EPU fir a check... otherwise just enjoy x

Congratulations! How exciting for you.
I had all sorts of twinges and pains in the first trimester which worried me, but they passed.
As for when you "tell", entirely up to you.
Received wisdom is 12 weeks after the scan.
I went against this and told my close family immediately. This was because I thought if the worst happened and I did have a MC I would have wanted to tell them and have their support.
As with the whole pregnancy, make your own choices and do what feels right for you. We're all different.
And the hot water bottle is absolutely fine.
Wishing you the best of luck and a peaceful, healthy pregnancy
