I went for my booking in bloods last week at 9 weeks. The doctors have called today to tell me they need to discuss my bloods with me but it isn’t urgent so they will see me next week. Has anyone had this? I’ve been taking Pregnacare Max but now having a bit of a worry!

Thanks
Vickster

Hi Vickster,

I have had this with my 2nd. I was anaemic and needed iron tablets. (was told I needed to pick up a prescription) Try not to worry too much though :)

Not pregnancy related but when I've had blood tests they've called me in to talk about results.

The first time the receptionist rang and told me I urgently needed to come in but shes couldn't docuss why. - it turned out they lost my blood sample and needed to take more. I was frozen solid from fear going in.

The second time I went in to be told everything was normal.

I think they sent actually.allowed to discuss results over the phone so will always push to have you go in. Maybe it's just my surgery though. I wouldnt worry yourself.

If it was anything serious I th8nk you would have been called back in immediately or even sent straight to hospital/A&E so try not to worry.

(I’m not pregnant but had a blood test recently and was called by the out of hours service at about 7pm that night and told to go straight to A&E as my blood test showed a serious problem which turned out to be severe anaemia. )
