Thrush pessary

So the doctor prescribed me the thrush pessary today which I just used. She didn't say anything about the applicator and now I've just read that you're not supposed to use it! I didn't push it really far as it was so sore so I hope it's ok - I'm 15 weeks. Why is it such a bad thing to put the applicator in but then they say you can have sex no problem? Doesn't make sense to me!?

Hello! I was prescribed the pessary at hospital in the MAU when I was about 34 weeks pregnant so you will be absolutely fine! Don't worry xx

I used this later on in pregnancy too but used my fingers. The applicator can effect the cervix I think if it’s too far up so they recommend to not use it.
