Going to a tapas restaurant tomorrow, and not sure from this menu what i can and cant eat.

FWIW, its a naice restaurant, so I'm not too worried about anything being contaminated, although I'm quite gutted there are a lot of delicious cured meat things I probably wont be allowed to have.

Please help me pick nice things I allowed to eat while pregnant:

Picoteo
Manchego & quince
Marcona almonds
Manzanilla olives
Fried spicy broad beans
Catalan tomato bread
Bread with aioli
Artisan bread & nuez de prado olive oil
Kikos

Charcuteria
Jamon iberico per g
Chorizo iberico
Lomo iberico
Salchichon de vic
Fuet de vic
Cured meat board

Frituras
Salt cod croquetas
Chicken wings, garlic & chilli
Green tomatoes & red tomatoes
Pigs Trotter croquetas

Chargrill & plancha
Iberico pork sliders
Chicken thighs, capers & almonds
Butchers steak & cornichons

Pitxos Morunos

Seafood
Charred greens, Ortiz anchovies & lemon
Gambas al ajillo
Mojama with watermelon & olive oil
Pulpo negro
Chalkstream Farm Trout, Broad beans & ermesanda

Tortilla
Classic
Sobrasada
Smoked aubergine

Meat
Duck egg sobrasada & hazelnuts
Peas & jamon
Butifara & garlic
Pork belly & sweetcorn
Chickpeas ala catalana

The NHS website is the best authority.

Manchego cheese is fine. I would just have chicken, veggie and seafood and avoid the other meat as it likely won’t be well done and it’s not fair to ask them to cook it like that if you are sharing with others.

I’m sure others will disagree but I went to Barcelona when I was 12 weeks pregnant and ate tons of seafood and cured meats - no I’ll affects whatsoever.

There isn’t much on that list that is unsafe you will have lots of choice.

You can safely have most of that Smile. If you want to follow NHS guidelines then consider avoiding the charcuterie and possibly the mojama (it is salt-cured tuna - it has probably been previously frozen in which case it will be fine but double-check with the restaurant).

I don't know all the foods on there but I'd imagine everything but the charcuterie should be fine :)
