6 weeks pregnant - very light bleed?

Hello! I'm just under 6 weeks pregnant, had a scan last Friday which confirmed I was 5 weeks (I had brown spotting) I have a 5 year old and never had any brown or red spotting whatsoever so this is new to me.

Me and my partner had sex yesterday morning and late afternoon I noticed about 2 x 50p sized patches of very light watery blood in a liner. So I don't know if the bleed is in relation to sex maybe? Has anyone had this and still had a successful pregnancy? Nothing else since.

Really not feeling hopeful... I have a scan in 7 days 😩 any advice welcome please! X

I've had bleeding on and off with 2 pregnancies, my last it carried on until nearly 20 weeks, it was either a watery pink or sometimes brown. Try not to worry and you can ring your midwife for advice too.

I had this once on first pregnancy and never again. All was fine.

I had some light spotting early on in both my pregnancies, all was fine. Was told by midwife as as long as not bright red not to worry, and a little bit of this early on it totally normal.

Hey, I had a bleed at 6 weeks, turned out just to be an implantation bleed. Had a scan at 8 weeks and everything was perfect and just had a scan today at 13 weeks and everything still perfect!

If you're worried get in touch with the EPU and see if you can have another scan xxxx

I had spots of brown blood Wednesday and Thursday last week so thought that was the implantation bleed! I thought the implantation bleed happened at 4-5 weeks! But thank you! Xx

No I had mine at 6, because I thought that too haha!! Then the midwife said it's not uncommon to have it just every now and again but luckily I didn't get it again.

Good luck!! Xxx

Just an update. I had a huge bleed 10 days ago. Had a scan Monday and I'm still pregnant 6.5 weeks! So bleeding is not always a bad sign! X

So glad I've found this. I'm 6 weeks today and had brown spotting just and I'm freaking out as it's taken a long time and a lot of heartache to get here. This is my first ever BFP. I phoned the fertility unit who told me to speak to the gynae assessment unit and they said bleeding isn't uncommon but they wouldn't be able to see anything on a scan until around 7 weeks (don't think that's true but anyway). So told me just to keep an eye on things. If it's just a bit when I wipe/on a pad it's ok. More concerning if it's filling pads every couple of hours.
Sooooo hoping little peanut is ok in there. I feel too scared to do anything that involves exerting myself in any way.
It feels like I'm getting my period to be honest.
