Serious pains - can't tell if it's Hicks or Labor

Hi all! Hope you're all doing well (as well as us preggers lady's can be!)

So I hit 35 wks exactly today but I've been feeling horrible since evening time yesterday. I barely get out of bed because the pain is too great.

It's mostly in my middle/lower back. Absolutely excruciating. I can't roll into my sides without wanting to cry. I've had back pain for a while but nothing like this.

Occasionally I have pains that are similar to period cramps. They're not regular though so I can't time them.

Baby is moving just fine, he's very active at nights. My belly goes hard at times and painful to touch. There's a lot of pressure below too at times. This is my first so I have no idea what to expect.

TMI WARNING:
I've been having quite a bit of discharge when I pee (which is all the bloody time) but it's not like how my midwife described a plug.

I'm hoping it's not labour... I just moved house last month and because of my condition and my partner's full time job there's still so much to do. Not even carpet down until next week let alone setting up the nursery... Which I really want to do but can only paint half a wall before exhausting myself.

Doesn't help I haven't got a hospital bag ready since most of my stuff/all the baby stuff is still packed away...

Can you maybe give the labour ward a call, and explain to them exactly what you've said to us, and see what they advise.

Good Luck Smile

Make a bag. Call the midwife and tell them what you’ve said above.

Any chance it's a UTI? If you're really uncomfortable, give the labour ward a call. They might have you in to check what's going on.

I gave the hospital a ring and they said since there's no pattern to the pain and the baby is still moving to just keep an eye on it and if it's still going to call my midwife first thing in the morning.

Also I was cleared for a UTI during a midwife appointment just last Weds so I don't think it's that.
