from your choice, l like blake

made me think of william blake

alicet · 10/07/2007 12:14

I think you should see what he looks like when he's born. At least you have 3 names you both like - dh and I can't even agree on 1!!!!!

Good luck to you and your little boy to be....

claraq · 10/07/2007 12:22

And don't forget to come back and tell us what you decided on - good luck!

mummyto2littleprincess · 10/07/2007 19:49

i think reece is the better name but also like blake as for mitchell its more if a last name sorry

aquababe · 10/07/2007 19:52

sorry don't like any of them
Mitchell makes me think of easteners
I knew a horrid pikey kid called Reece who used to steal things from our garden
so Blake is probably the better option imo
feel free to ignore

TheMuppet · 10/07/2007 19:53

Love Blake

cece · 10/07/2007 19:56

We had a short list of three names and when dd was born she looked most like the No 3 option. So I would wait and see what your dc looks like once he is born.

nadinetd · 12/07/2007 07:25

its going to be blake or reece will have to wait and see if nothing happens being induced 9am monday so by this time next week he should be here i hope anyway x

Love Rhys spelt the traditional way though, it goes very well with the middle name Thomas.

WheresMyWaistGone · 12/07/2007 14:18

I have to agree - I don't like any of them!

I was 7 when my brother was born and my Mum had a long list of names, but none of the suited him. He was nameless for about a week!!!

The name we chose in the end is just so right for him, from baby through to the 6ft 6in man of 23 he now is!!!

Don't set your heart on anything and go with what suits him best, keeping an eye out for idiotic initials and nickname+surname (I particularly pity the little boy born to Mr and Mrs Peacock - they called him Drew...).

I am nearly 27 weeks with our first baby and our favourite boys names = initials WC or WPC so we are re-thinking! Luckily, our favourite girls names don't present any initial problems.

And finally, I am forever grateful to my Dad for putting his foot down over Francesca for me...!!!

JolieGirl · 12/07/2007 14:27

Ummm - sorry but all awful. Along the same lines as Paige, Connor, Charmaine etc. You just know the type...

If I was put in an electric chair and FORCED to pick one I would say Blake.

Wasn't the silver haired older man in Dynasty called Blake (Carrington...?) Married to Crystal, used to be married to Alexis??!!

Anarchymummy · 12/07/2007 15:43

I love the name Reece but spelt Rhys, but my fiance hates it I'm not keen on the other two but then again it's up to you.

Boys names are so much harder than girls,we've got a name sorted if we have a girl but nothing for a boy.lol.

Don't ever tell anyone what you are going to call your kids and don't ask any opinions. Everyone has their own prejudices due to classmates they've hated or tv programmes or something. If you like it, go with it and don't let people put you off.

WheresMyWaistGone · 12/07/2007 16:01

hatrickjacqueline - I'm sure Francesca is lovely for the right person - that's just not me!!!

DoubleBluff · 12/07/2007 16:07

Not keen on any of them
Rhys spelt properly would be best.

nykate · 12/07/2007 17:03

Agree with Mrswizz. How people feel about a name has much to do with who they've known in their lives, so just go with what you like. People like names when they like the people that go with them, so you LO will have a fab name no matter what

I was a teacher (therefore have MANY prejudices against certain names) and had the loveliest student ever named Mitchell, so have to love it because it makes me think of him.

Dawn2820 · 12/07/2007 17:06

how about Reece Mitchell (surname)

just a suggestion and then you can have to of the prefered names

gegs73 · 12/07/2007 17:12

Like Mitchell but not the others

tortoiseSHELL · 12/07/2007 17:12

Don't like any, sorry!

MrsBadger · 12/07/2007 17:13

My preference is for more traditional names to be honest

Rhys I could handle.

tortoiseSHELL · 12/07/2007 17:13

Yes I agree, Rhys is much better in my mind than Reece.

MrsScavo · 12/07/2007 17:16

See what suits him when he pops out!
