1 day late and EWCM?

Has anyone had this? I tested 6 days ago so 5 days before I was due with frer but got a negative. I’m 1 day late and in the last few days I’ve experiment a lot of thick white cm. it was that bad I had to run to the loo to see if I was my period as I felt it come out. This morning woke up with a lot of the same cm again. Then about half an hour ago I had a lot of ewcm in my underwear. Now because I got a negative I don’t know what to do. For the past 2-3 weeks I’ve had loads of cramping and sting back ache everyday. All that’s gone with a few odd light cramps and sore boobs in a morning. Has anyone else experienced this and gone on to have a bfp?

Have you taken a test since 5 days ago? It's hard to know really but you've noticed differences in your usual cycle. Since I've had a baby mines have completely changed so Im not much use to you. Are you sure you ovulated when you think you did? I'm only asking as I have a lot more cm through the month now whereas before I'd always be dry before af.

5 days before AF is very early even for a FRER. If you implanted late or have shorter cycles the egg probably won't have been releasing hormones by then.

Unfortunately the signs you describe, like many early pregnancy signs are just as frequently signs that AF is looming. I had a lot of CM and really sore boobs in our first month trying and it was a BFN. Our second month my boobs were unremarkable, Cm pretty normal and it was a BFP. The body does play tricks and the only way you can find out is to test :) good luck!

Thanks everyone. It’s just that I’ve never had this ever. Even when I’ve been ovulating. I miscarried in December so we’re activly trying to conceive. I came of the pill last August too and my periods have arrived bang on day 32 and been regular

And no not tested as haven’t had the chance to get one

Done a test today and I got bfn! God knows what’s happening. I’m needing to see more wake up with sore breasts then it goes and I’ve got a big increase in cm!! I constantly feel sick today too!!

Hiii did another test this morning and still bfn! Called doctor and he said they won’t do anything untill I’ve missed 2 or 3 cycles. Really frustrating. I’m now 7 days late

It's possible that you're not "late" per se but that you were ovulating when you had all the EWCM – I.e. ovulation was late rather than your period being late. If you were at all stressed this past month it could have delayed ovulation.

Do you track periods just by dates or go the whole charting hog?

I agree with @burritofan, this has happened to me several times. My body geared up to ovulate at the right time and then didn't for whatever reason (sometimes tiredness/stress/travelling; sometimes no reason at all). Two weeks later when I was expecting AF, EWCM appeared and I did actually ovulate then so ended up with long cycles.

I don’t definalty know Ifbi ovulated, but with getting the bfns it seems I ovulated when I had the EWCM on Sunday. I only go by dates as I find it too stressful if I do anything else as well. Me and my partner dtd Saturday and Sunday so hopefully that might help. I’ve never had EWCM before even when I have ovulated (become pregnant in that month) so just thought it was really strange I had that when af should have arrived. I still get cramps now and sore boobs. It’s been going on nearly 4 weeks. Hopefully if I’m ovulating now I should know by 31st if I am pregnant or not. That’s right isn’t it?
