First time pregnancy paranoia

Hiya guys. I’m new on here but I’ve been reading a lot of threads and I’m hoping someone can help.
I had 2 BFP on Friday last week (8th)
Doctor was concerned I was having an ectopic so I was sent to the hospital on Sunday (10th)
I had a scan and they told me I was having an ectopic which broke me. I was sent home to return 2 days later to make sure my hormones dropped. When I returned on Tuesday (12th) my hormones had increased by 63% which they do during a normal pregnancy I was told so the nurse ordered another scan. Another scan then found my pregnancy was in my womb and all fine. No ectopic!! I’m obviously over the moon but now I’m constantly paranoid in case I misscarry or if anything happens to it. I feel like it’s taking the shine off everything that’s happened. Any advise how to shake the paranoia away?

@Lorahh95 I had a bleed at the beginning and it has left me quite paranoid !! BUT both of our baby's have been seen in there cooking so its just about going with the flow and hoping for the best 😁 I am now 8 weeks and starting to feel a bit better each day xx

Aww that's brilliant to hear!! I don't know whether I'm 5 weeks or 8 weeks. I've got my midwife appointment next week so hopefully she'll tell me more xx

Never had an ectopic or suspected one. I have had two mc's and had a tiny amount of spotting with this pregnancy. I'm trying to take each day as it comes but it's very difficult. No advice really but I understand the paranoia. Take each day at a time and be kind to yourself. 💐

I completely understand your paranoia! I’m the same (although I haven’t had any need to see a doctor, etc yet). But then again I was paranoid that we wouldn’t be able to conceive in the first place!

I don’t really have any advice other than be kind to yourself and do the best for your baby. Hopefully your first scan will give you some comfort! Smile

*next scan

When you get the secret please tell me. At 16 weeks but at every stage the worry has just shifted to the next thing. Pass the 12 week scan worry about the chromosome test, pass the chromosome test worry that somethings happened in the meantime or what if there’s a problem at the 20 week anomaly scan. I am beginning to hate the internet as last pregnancy I didn’t see all the things that could go wrong online and it was much more peaceful!

Glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling like this. I'm just scared that anything I do will hurt it in some way. From the age of 16 I was told I couldn't conceive so I think I'm overly cautious because of that too. I'm now 23 and my partner already had a 4 year old but he's not really much help 😂
