First time pregnancy - headaches

Hi, I have had a headache for the past two days in my left temple, which ha caused my nausea to get even worse than normal. I have taken two paracetamol tablets each day when the pain is too much to help relieve for a couple of hours. This morning I've woken up to the headache now being on right temple. I'm worried about taking tablets but also worried why it's lasting so long. I am finishing work and going straight to sleep as I can't cope with the pain and nausea all the time.

Did anyone else experience this? Is it normal? Thanks in advance x

Yep. Make sure you are drinking enough as you need to drink loads more in early pregnancy and try and get as much sleep as possible.

I had awful headaches around 4/5 weeks that passed after a few days. Lots of water and sleep as has been suggested.

Yep i would wake up with a foggy head/ hangover type headache that would last all day. When I did take paracetamol it had little effect so I didn’t bother.

In the end they just stopped after getting them on and off for about a month

I am sleeping loads but struggling to drink water as is making me more nauseous. Must be the reason! Thanks ladies Smilex

Have you got an ice pack? I have horrible headaches anyway , made worse by pregnancy and laying with an ice pack either across my eyes or the back of my neck really really helps. Followed by a good 20 minute hot shower with lots of steam!

Also, try putting some Vicks under your nose before you sleep . It's horrible when you have a headache that just won't go away. X
