I'm 37 weeks and 4 days.
Since about 4pm I've had sharp pains low down in my abdomen and groin.
I'd just walked to get my son from school, I do get these pains when I've walked but they always ease off within about 20 mins or so, but ive been feeling them for the last 2 hours. Baby is still kicking though, around the middle of my tummy.
I'm currently on my own waiting for hubby to get home from work and I'm getting anxious now and having hot flushes.

My son was a c section at 33 weeks so ive never been through contractions before amd have no idea if its just normal pains or not?

Does sound more like a stitch. Is the pain coming in waves? Is your bump tightening?

My first contractions felt like little period pains and just ramped up later on!

Bump does appear tighter and the pain keeps easing and coming back again, I've also got cramping pain in my lower back.

And I'm not sure if its related or not but I had bad diarreah yesterday morning which I've read can be a sign.

I may be clutching at straws though as I'm desperate to get him out, its been a rough pregnancy and I'm fed up now.

I did feel like I was having period cramps earlier, in my stomach and calves but that's gone now. Its more like sharp pains and tightening now

Sounds hopeful then! Try and eat well tonight and get some rest!!

Those sharp pains disappeared, im actually disappointed, I hoped this was it.
In back to the period type pains now though

How are you @dobbysmum? Any increase in the pains?
