Maternity gym leggings

Any recommendations?

The usual stuff like don’t go see through when you’re squatting etc.

My current Fabletics are super tight around the waist area. Ideally don’t want to shell out for some non-maternity ones in the next size up, but I’m only 15 weeks so not showing a proper bump yet, and looking for ones that will expand as I grow.

Thanks!

I just got some fitta mama ones which are good. They're dear but you can pick them up secondhand.

Lorrie3 · 14/03/2019 15:33

Ok so I went through this battle too. I'm 30 weeks now and just gave in and bought Gap Maternity Fit ones on there EU site and they are aamxing!!! I wish I'd had them from 20 weeks. They work out about 35 or 40 with shipping by so worth it so are there gym tops! I gym 3 times a week still and if you plan on contunitjng to exercise dont waste your time money and comfort just buy good ones now!!

Wedgiecar58 · 14/03/2019 15:49

Thanks @Lorrie3. Do you think the same pair would last me from now (beg 2nd trimester) to term?

@wedigecar58 yes I think so in terms of quality they are very good nice and thick. It just depends how many days u wear them etc but I would expect so

Mikewazowskismrs · 14/03/2019 16:48

I second gap ones too. Pricey but worth it.

I’m still fitting into them at 30 weeks

NorthernRunner · 14/03/2019 17:16

I brought some from gap maternity, they are really good and comfy, I ran a half marathon in them on Sunday and now slipping down

Laura1609 · 14/03/2019 21:42

The only ones I’ve found that are so comfortable are Lulu Lemon Align but they’re eye-wateringly expensive (a gift, I couldn’t pay £88 on leggings!!). But they are so wonderful, not maternity but so soft and stretchy and they’ve grown with me (I’m now 24 weeks). I’m holding out hope for another pair for my birthday!

TokenGinger · 14/03/2019 22:22

I have tried SO many maternity gym leggings and I almost gave up hope I'd any until I got a pair of Gap ones in the sale. They're so good!

They're called GapFit and on the website at the moment there's 35% off full price clothes so worth a try and return if they don't fit.

xxlucybxx · 15/03/2019 07:54

I'm a total primark snob but tried on some seamless gym leggings last week for £8, I squatted in front of OH who told me they were not see though. They are a total rip off of the gym shark seamless but less compression which makes them so comfy.
I CrossFit 4x a week and I'd buy other colours if they had them they are perfect, I'm normally size 10 and just went for 12/14

Wedgiecar58 · 15/03/2019 09:23

@TokenGinger Amazing!! Thanks for the tip. I've had a look and think I'll go for these ones. www.gap.co.uk/gap/maternity-gapfit-blackout-full-panel-full-length-leggings/000394863.html?dwvar_000394863_fit=regular&dwvar_000394863_color=000394863000&cgid=1062345 Would you suggest sizing up? I am a UK size 12 so not sure to go for M or L. I'm only 15 weeks so will get much bigger than I currently am, so perhaps a L.

@xxlucybxx Thanks for the recommendation. I might get a pair of those in my next size up to use in the interim if my investment Gap ones turn out to be a bit big for me to wear now.

I got some from the sale on Asos which are amazing - and were, I think, £18.

Have lasted me this far (28 weeks) and imagine they'll fit a good while longer still.

TokenGinger · 15/03/2019 11:04

@Wedgiecar58 I was a UK size 12 when I got pregnant and I'm wearing size 12 maternity jeans. I ordered the Large and to begin with, they were a tad loose but I'm glad I did now. My bump popped between 18-20 weeks and that extra fabric is great for bump! Xx

Lorrie3 · 15/03/2019 14:45

@wedigcar I’m a uk10-12 and bought a medium and currently at 31 weeks they fit very well and I even have some room to expand another fair bit. But very hard to know

Wedgiecar58 · 15/03/2019 15:18

Thanks guys! I ordered a L now, if they're too big I'll return for a M or just keep them for further along.

I managed to get them for -40%! And I've eyed up a few gym tops for my birthday gift list :)

I think this is a real gap in the market, I really struggled to find any good quality ones for a sensible price. I’m surprised fsbletics don’t do any, I love their stuff usually so was gutted when I realised they don’t have any maternity stuff.

AgentCooper · 15/03/2019 17:55

Lidl have maternity exercise leggings just now! If they turn out to be crap, it’s not much money spent.

Though I’m not pregnant I am breastfeeding so picked up a maternity sports bra from Lidl and for the price it’s grand.

NorthernRunner · 15/03/2019 18:35

I am very happy with my maternity gap gear, and it arrived the next day! My dress that I ordered yesterday came today too, really pleased with the Gap website. It’s not a place I shop in until I’m pregnant but I must try shop there more frequently.

FineFanks · 15/03/2019 19:17

Thanks @AgentCooper I’m almost bursting out of my sports bra so i’ll check them out!

FineFanks · 15/03/2019 19:18

@NorthernRunner and they ALWAYS have a sale on
