Hi All :)

Just wondering as i have my elec c section in over 3 weeks and i haven't packed my bag yet.
How likely is it that I'll be sent home the next day?!

With my son i had an emergency c section and i was in the hospital for 8 days but that was because he was jaundice. They were still checking my bp etc whilst i was there even though I'd been discharged and was only there for my son.

Want to go home sooner this time (hoping baby 2 isn't jaundice:( . )

Three days but due to pain and I could have stronger painkillers in hospital. I also then got fed up of all the ( lovely) staff all coming in constantly and just wanted some peace and quiet so decided that was right time.

Don't rush out too quick x

3 days with DS1 but he was struggling to latch. Less than 24 hours with DS2. Both were under a general anaesthetic and I felt well enough to be discharged when I was.

2 days. I'd have been allowed home after 1 day if we had been quicker to get feeding established.

3 nights with dd, but she is nearly 14 so long time and this was standard practise then.
1 night with ds who was 1 yest, and I was on morphine for the pain and made sure they prescribed me some to take gone as the paracetamol and ibrofufen did nothing for me. ( this was the liquid oral morphine)

4 nights as far as I can remember, youngest is 11 though so things could have changed.

I quite enjoyed my stays so wasn't in any particular rush to get home.

4 nights, 5 days as iron was low and baby weight dropped. I was at the end of everything I’d packed so thank goodness I could get home then! Most of the women on the ward seemed to be there minimum 2 nights if that helps x good luck !

BipBippadotta · 15/03/2019 10:03

I was out in under 24 hours.
