Good morning everyone!

This will be my second baby, however with my son I never had this. Yesterday around 1700 I had really light brown discharge (sorry tmi) then for the hours after every time I would wipe it would still be there.

Ever since I found out I was pregnant I've had cramps, but they were a bit more painful yesterday.

I'm sure there was a light pinky dot as well. I have a scan at the local epu in the morning but I'd just like some advice. And to know if this has happened to anybody else? Obviously all I'm thinking now is miscarriage and I understand nothing can prevent that.

Thank you xx

Morning hun,

I’m so sorry you must be so scared right now. This exact thing did happen to me back in October and I did have a miscarriage but apparently this spotting can be very normal so please don’t think the worst just yet because it could be nothing. This happens to my cousin on both her pregnancies and she has 2 healthy babies right now. I know how you are feeling. Please try to be calm and strong, and if you want to talk I’m here :) I know this is a sensitive subject and I’m SO sorry if this has upset you. I’ll be praying for you this morning xx

I think if it's very light and brown or pink it could just be normal. If it increases or you find clotting or red blood or spotting then I would be concerned. Hope your scan goes well! 💐

Hey
I’m 9 weeks and had the same today, not had any in previous weeks. This is my first pregnancy so my mind is doing overtime now. Had a private scan the weekend and all was fine but you do worry about things happening still.
I’ve spoken my best friend who has had a baby, she had brown discharge early on too and all was fine
I’ve been reading a lot online and it seems normal
Unless it turns red, heavier and you get cramps/clots
Fingers crossed it’s just our bodies changing
I’m going to keep an eye on mine, if it gets worse will call the doctors. I am waiting for my nhs 12 week scan date which should be first week in April
Hope this discharge goes away so I can stop worrying until then x

I had spotting when I was pregnant with my eldest child at 8 weeks and again at 13 weeks and I carried him to term! I have also had spotting at 8 weeks which led to a miscarriage in the past but it was definitely heavier and more red when that happened!

If it’s brown or light pink there’s usually nothing to worried about. If you start bleeding lots and it’s dark red, or has clots then thats when you should get it checked out.

Thank you all for taking your time to reply! No brown as of yet today... still discharge but it's more white/yellow. Still also having quite bad cramps! But we will see at the scan in the morning!

Again thank you :)

@Loukate29 hope you're ok and the scan went well

I had brown discharge and severe cramping 6-8 weeks, I was in that much pain I found myself pacing up and down the house in the night, I’m now 14 weeks and have had my scan and we have a healthy baby so don’t worry!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Loukate29 · 17/03/2019 09:40

Thank you! I had my scan but turns out I was only 5 weeks, which kind of does make sense as my periods are irregular. I have had slight brown spotting since but not a lot. And nothing for a whole day so far anyway.... I have a scan in 8 days to see if there is a baby and a heartbeat! Will update! Xx

I'm glad the scan went well even if they pushed you back 😊
