Anyone good at nub theory? Twins

Hi - I've just had my harmony scan and nervously awaiting blood test results... harmony can normally test for the sex too, but not accurately for twins, so to keep my mind off the much more important reason for having the tests, I was hoping people who had a clue what they are looking at might be able to take a guess at what each twin might be... I honestly couldn't care less - as long as they are healthy I'll be delighted either way - just need the distraction! Thanks!

I'd agree two girls but more convinced about the second than first :) congrats!

No expert, but second pic definitely looks more girly, first pic not so obvious, but I will also guess girl again.

Well you are all partly wrong... I don't know what they both are - but got our NIPT test results back and they say that at least one of them is a boy! The blood test can't tell whether they are one of each or both boys though... so I'm thinking maybe it's one of each given you all thought 2 girls!

Congrats Hobbes39 how far along are you? When did you discover it was twins?
I'm currently 14+4 with twins and found out at my 12 week scan so was a bit surprise!

@boodles101 - hi! Congratulations to you too! I was measuring 11+6 at the last scan, so am now about 12+5 I think. We found out v early (7w) as we had IVF. Was our last go - and finally hit the jackpot it seems! I still can't believe there are 2 and they are ok !
We have a DS(5) so all the Singleton baby stuff we have kept for the last 5 years will have to be sold and new double buggies etc bought 😱. And we will need a bigger car... but I don't care, I'm just so delighted!

That's amazing congrats! I have a DS (2) aswell and I kept all his stuff which now has to be sold too! And yes to the bugger car! Every night I wake up and think of something else that we'll need to change! You're the only one I've seen here so far expecting twins so happy to keep in touch if you are!

And thanks to others - will be interesting to find out! Right now I'm hoping it's one of each as I can only think of 1 boy name..! 😂 but I genuinely don't mind either way as I'm just delighted if they both arrive happy & healthy !

I went on a gender prediction nub theory group on fb and they seem to get it right everytime but apparently it's most accurate from 12wk5 day plus scans as girly looking nubs can develop into a boy nub up until then they say. I'd say second pic is girly too but as it wasn't over 12wk5days at the time of scan it could've changed. Congratulations anyway xxx

Twin 1 Is a girl and twin 2 a boy! Honestly i can just look at a scan and tell by the shape of their heads. It's weird Haha. I've never been wrong yet!! My mother says I should stand outside the hospital and charge to tell people their genders

@Mammaaofxx - hmmmm - the sonographer today thought that twin 1 was a boy! As there was a view between its legs - didn't get the same view for twin 2 tho...!

Girls skulls are always more rounder. Also you cant tell from a scan until at least 16 weeks, my consultant had a look at 14+6 and she said she couldn't tell until 16 weeks x

I think twin 2 is a girl by what I think is the nub tbh. My scan pics of my 4 babies rubbish skull theory I have to say, 2 of my sons heads were rounder than this baby who I've been told is a girl and he head is similarly shaped to my last boy. I'm struggling to see nub of twin 1 though. Let us know when you find out. Xx

@mammaaofxx my friend was told she was having a boy at her 12 week scan and they were correct. I think most professionals won't say so early as they can't be 100% sure but it definitely is possible. From what I've read and been told girls are more difficult to identify at an early stage. Xx

I would agree with mummaaofxx and say twin 1 girl and twin 2 boy.
