Hi, I've been out on 75mg of Asprin a day (plus progesterone) due to previous miscarriages. I would check with your doctor before taking it but so far I've had no adverse side effect and am almost 8 weeks. Best of luck with your pregnancy

I was prescribed 75mg (quarter tablet) a day plus high concentrations (multiple pills) of folic acid - have two children both pregnancies I took both these

Have you been referred to the hospital for support? I saw a miscarriage expert who put me on these daily drugs

No no referral they have told me they don’t investigate until you’ve had three consecutive I’m around 6 weeks this week and very worried as you can imagine. I think I’ll call my Gp today and discuss about the aspirin I’ll try anything to give this pregnancy the best chance

I am on aspirin (75mg daily) in pregnancy for pre-eclampsia/blood pressure but was told to take it only from 12 weeks onwards.
Mine is on prescription - MW recommended it and GP prescribed it. I'd be wary of taking anything without consulting GP.

@Steph2202 definitely speak to your doctor before taking. I'm 6wks 4days and was taking it before I got my bfp because like you I was reading up and heard it might help. Was only taking 75mg a day. A few days after my positive test I started spotting. Stopped taking it and the spotting stopped. Really you should only be taking it if you're found to have a blood clotting disorder from what I gather.

I was prescribed aspirin during my first pregnancy at my booking appointment, unfortunately I miscarried at 8 weeks. I’m pregnant again 12 weeks 4 days and I am taking it again x mine was more to prevent blood clots etc xx

Hi Op, I'm sorry for your losses.

I was under a miscarriage specialist and also ended up having IVF in the end. Both clinics recommended baby aspirin despite me having no clotting disorders. Its definitely worth talking to your GP about just in case it helps.

I’m on it till 28 weeks for ivf pregnancy and was told at my midwife appointment yesterday that I would have to continue until delivery as my mum had eclampsia fits when pregnant with my brother. I would definitely discuss with your GP before taking anything during pregnancy.
