I don't know if anyone will care or want to see this thread, however I know how much my hair struggled during the post partum period cause me to literally lose a 4 inch long chunk of hair across my right side of my scalp making me look like I had a mullet but just on one side of my head. It was awful, and i was only 19. I'm now nearly 21 and I'm only just getting my hair longer and back to its original thickness. And I just thought I'd share what worked for me incase there's anyone else struggling !
First of all I take a biotin supplement every single day, with my morning brew, which supports healthy hair, nails and skin. I got mine from Holland & Barrett. I have noticed a definite improvement in my hair since !
I also use the Lee Stafford hair growth collection, which I think is exclusive to Boots. I ummed and ahhed about getting this for a few months as it can work out expensive but they often do 3 for £15 deals so whenever I see that I hop on it. I use the shampoo, hair mask and the leave in conditioner spray, I massage my scalp with the shampoo and leave it for a good five minutes. I use this and the hair mask every two washes. I use the leave in conditioner before I dry my hair.
I then use the L'Oréal Paris Dream lengths shampoo and conditioner. I use this in between washes with the Lee Stafford, but I still use the leave in conditioner when I dry it. I put frizz ease on the end of my lengths every night or if I use heat on it. Which I am avoiding and just plaiting my hair which leaves it with a lovely wave.
I know my post partum hair left me feeling absolutely awful and I've only just found a routine that seems to help my hair growth. I have naturally light mousy blonde hair which is dyed a medium brown. I did my roots on the 22nd of Feb and my hair already has at least if not more than half an inch of regrowth. I just wanted to offer this info if anyone is or has gone through the same. Or is preparing for post partum hair loss !
I hope this helps or gives someone advice x
