Hello I am 12 weeks pregnant and had Chili con-carne last night for dinner and after felt really bloated and sick and uncomfortable I didn't think of put it down to the food but I had left overs for lunch and got the same feeling had anyone else had this with certain foods? Or am I just weird and thinking to much into it xxx

I cooked myself a paella like dinner and was quite ill later that night. Tried to eat some for lunch the next day, and couldn't continue after only a few bites.

I've ruled out the onion, peppers, rice, garlic, chilli and chicken, since I've eaten it all subsequently. And it wasn't food poisoning. So it was either the chorizo or the paprika or parsley used to flavour. I'm blaming the paprika.

Thanks for replying hun yeah I blame the chili cause I just feel so yuck! And sooo bloated I look 9 months pregnant not 3 😂😂😂

I'm 11 weeks and near enough every meal gives me that feeling 😂 especially bread/rice though it seems. My stomach goes rock solid and it feels like if you were to stick a pin in me I'd make the same squeaky deflating noise as a balloon 😂

Hannahb123 · 14/03/2019 10:21

@hannah9176 haha bless you that's how I felt!!!

Another question are any of you girls having any dull like cramps I thought it would be gone by now but then I did read something about stretching and that can corse cramping just makes me so nervous xx

Yeah I'm having that too! In the first few weeks it was all on the left side but now it's seemed to move more central so assuming it's just a bit of growing. Just the odd twinge though nothing major. Have my scan on Wednesday so trying not to overthink things ☺️

Wedgiecar58 · 14/03/2019 12:27

I have been having chilli and haven't had any problems, although it's always made me super gassy. I think its the olde paso sachet we add!!

Hannahb123 · 14/03/2019 17:14

@hannah9176 oh that's good to hear yeah I get the odd sharp pain where it honestly feels like I have been stabbed 😂😂😂 and then yesterday I had this really full ache like period pains but I think it's just everything stretching.
Awww cute must let me know how it goes I have mine Monday I am soooo excited but soooo nervous this isn't even my first but feel like it is lol xxxx

@Wedgiecar58 I suppose everyone is different! Yeah it made me very gassy!!! It was horrible haha 😂 I think I will stay clear of chili for the time being 😂😂 I think it might be white bread that's causing me pain as well never had a problem before being pregnant but since being pregnant just feel so bloated and uncomfortable after

It'll be the kidney beans, OP! All that trapped wind!

Hannahb123 · 15/03/2019 08:05

@CatSmize yeah not nice! 😂 won't be having them again 😂😂😂

I've been staying away from anything with beans in it! Anytime I've eaten anything with beans I get SO bloated and gassy that it's really painful. So I would say it's the beans probably!

Hannahb123 · 15/03/2019 13:07

@purplemama1990 right glad I'm not the only one lol 😂

😂 being pregnant is so attractive, especially in the early days when you have to hide it while falling asleep at the desk full of wind and wanting to cry and/or spew. Excited for your scan on Monday!

Hannahb123 · 16/03/2019 09:07

@hannah9176 hahaha yeah definitely it's the best isn't it throwing up in the 5 minutes before the school run and then having to act like I didn't just throw up 5 minutes before 😂😂😂 I can't wait to just be able to tell people I look like a mess because I am pregnant lol 😂
Yeah me to I will let you know how it all goes I really am nervous 😂 xxx

@Hannahb123 ah congratulations! So exciting! I had my scan yesterday and it's amazing to see them wriggling about isn't it. Little arms flying all over the place! When's your due date? Im October 2nd. Have you told people you're pregnant yet? It was such a relief to tell everyone yesterday for me!

Hannahb123 · 21/03/2019 07:29
