Can we talk stockpiling?

I have friends who are stock piling for brexit!
It has got me thinking, do any of you stock pile ready for the arrival of baby? I don’t just mean baby items (so far I’ve bought 1 pack of newborn nappies, I intended on getting loads of the johnsons products when they were reduced but nowhere near me ever reduced them, just faded in the new packaging 🤦🏼‍♀️)
But also food items like people are stock piling for brexit? I am self employed and currently shopping to a strict meal plan and shopping list each week to keep costs down and so I literally get what I need for myself, husband and 3 kids! I am wondering if I need to start adding a few extra tins/packets/rice/pasta etc maybe each week so I know we will be able to eat once baby is here? I’m wondering what your thoughts are on this too!
Also if I do start stockpiling for baby as well what would be your top items to buy extra of each week?
Thanks in advance

I'm trying to do this with things like nappy sacks, toilet roll, tinned food etc, regardless of Brexit just because I will be on less money come July. Just taking advantage of any offers as I see them 😊

You will need way more nappies but be wary of stockpiling in case they are not a good fit and leak or if your baby is allergic to them.Johnson products are really harsh and all you need is a tiny bit of shampoo and some nappy cream.

The only thing i would stockpile is wipes, wouldn't buy more than 2 baby wash/shampoo just becomes excessive, wouldn't buy to many nappies because they grow out of them and what pp said about leaks x

I’m having dc4 so I know about nappy leaks and such like - hence why I’ve only so far got 1 pack of nappies lol!
I’m more interested in people’s views on stockpiling grocery items if I’m honest. The only real baby items I have a few of so far is vests as I know how well needed they are!

I would love to batch cook meals and have them in the freezer ready to cook, but I have a tiny freezer so that’s not going to happen lol. I do have cupboard space in my garage though, so I think it’s possible to store extra tins and packets.
