thinking about having another baby but feel a bit frightened

Has anyone else felt like this? Was going to come off the pill this month to give myself a month or so off them before trying for a baby, but when it came to the crunch i felt too frightened & have started taking the pill again.

I would love to have another baby for ds & for all of us but had a bit of a difficult birth last time (ventouse, forceps & episiotomy,ds's heart rate started slowing down & only had g&a)

Feel very much the same. I'm also beginning to get old (40) and am worried about my health during pregnancy. Ds would be 4.6 if I got pg now, and the large age gap worries me too. BUT, I don't really want him to be an only child (only because I wasn't, no more than that).
