Sharp stabbing pain one side whilst vomiting

Hi all

I am expecting my second baby and currently 8 weeks pregnant. I have had awful nausea and vomiting again.

Today when I was vomiting I felt a sharp stabbing pain just on one side around my tummy area - it only lasted about twenty seconds and I've not experienced any other pain or bleeding but I've never had that feeling before so feeling quite anxious about it and hoping that the bout of vomiting hasn't harmed my baby.

Ps I had an early private scan last week and it's not an ectopic.

Anyone else experienced anything similar? Thank you

My ovaries always feel like they burst when i sneeze or cough or vomit...or get up to quick...my last pregnancy it was all on tge left so was checked for eptopic...This time its all round the pelvic area...ripping and sharp pains...apparently its round ligament pain...But i was so early last time...and am only 6 weeks now??...So i really dont know...but it didnt do me or baby any harm though Smile

Is the pain just there when you are vomiting? X

Look up round ligament pain, does that fit?

I get a very sharp stabbing when when I sneeze! Didn’t get it in my last pregnancy but apparently very normal. I’m 10weeks but have had it throughout, if it is reassuring in any way I had a mc last year and the pain and feeling is very different, more like a menstrual pain (well it was for me anyway).

It does sound like I may be experiencing round ligament pain but I can't find anything online that suggests you can get it as a result of vomiting?

By this I mean the vomiting is what caused the sudden sharp pain and I couldn't see anything online where it's mentioned that it can cause this?

It could also be an ovarian cyst. Many pregnant women have these but never find out because they can disappear quickly.
