I have been on the depo since April last year my last injection was jan 4th this year I have decided I don't want to continue with it because I would like another baby ..... i haven't had a period at all ..... February my body started acting very strange my sex drive came back in full force it's like I'm in heat constantly 🙈... my boobs feel hot and heavy I'm getting pinching on my left ovary.... I feel a bit off! ..... I'm tired all day but at night I'm struggling to sleep .. now this has all started feb so the depo should be working am i going crazy or could I quite possibly be pregnant ....?? I did a test and got a faint second line but I think it's a evap line .... apart from all this the whole time I have been on the depo I have never had a problem

Can anyone help??

I can’t see a line.

Shmithecat2 · 12/03/2019 11:56

I can see a line.. how long after testing did it appear?

Runningbutnotscared · 12/03/2019 11:57

I got pregnant while on the depo, didn’t think I was pregnant for ages because apparently the depo can mimic pregnancy symptoms.
I don’t see a line, sorry.

Shmithecat2 · 12/03/2019 12:20

There's the line

Can anyone help??
Gobletoffire · 12/03/2019 12:24

I definitely see a line. It’s thin though and I can’t tell if there’s colour to it so it could just be an evap line. How long was it before it appeared? Can you do a FRER?

Runningbutnotscared · 12/03/2019 13:33

If you are pregnant while on the depo it would be best to ask for an early scan. The consultant told me there is a higher risk of an ectopic pregnancy with the depo. Other than that there should be no other side effects.
I asked the gp, nurse and two midwives who had never heard of anyone getting pregnant while on the depo so didn’t know if there were any adverse consequences. The consultant was very reassuring.

I do see it, how long after did it show up? X

moomoo29 · 12/03/2019 15:01

I can’t remember how long I left it .....i m just so tired all off the time .... I just feel very pregnant I did take another test this morning and it looked negative then I looked closer and it looked like another line but extremely faint ....this was another brand I used .... can the nurse give the depo wrong by any chance ?? She gave it to me in my hip and was really quick where before the other nurse was slower and she did it in my bum !

I don’t know if it can be given wrong but I got mine for almost 5 years and it was always at the top of my bum. It took me roughly 13 cmonths after my last injection to get pregnant. My first two test were so faint I could hardly see them, I waited another day and did a digital one in the morning, maybe get a digital test? although have heard they are less sensitive

moomoo29 · 12/03/2019 15:41

I have got a digital but I don’t want to use it yet

I do see a very very faint line op. I could see it before you highlighted it. I’d give it another 48 hours if you can stand it, 24 if not and test again. Did you do it first thing in the morning?

moomoo29 · 12/03/2019 15:53

I used the test with my first morning wee ...

Orchidflower1 · 13/03/2019 17:23

Did you test again today op?

Rememberallball · 13/03/2019 18:14

Tests are deemed invalid if they are taken out of their cassette so you cannot rely on the 2nd line you think you can see - it could be an evap line. It’s best to check the development time in the usage instructions for the test and set a timer to go off after however many minutes they say so you don’t leave it too long as this can increase the risk of false lines coming up.
