In case anyone remembered my placenta saga... There has been more bleeding but the placenta is now officially 'just low-lying', so (hopefully) no CS
But: have been gradually getting more and more tired and over the last few days, especially yesterday, losing the ability to think clearly, bursting into random tears, feeling sick, feeling like my legs and head aren't getting oxygen, making mountains out of molehills. Anyway, gave up this morning and have been signed off with exhaustion and anaemia. (Baby is fine) Feel like a bit of a fraud somehow but am very relieved to be able to have a bit of a break.

I am fine thanks, just feel tired all the time....

only have 2 weeks left at work, but I am being as lazy as possible whilst there and I am only part time, not a full timer like you.

The emotions thing is normal I imagineas I am all over the place

berolina · 09/07/2007 11:43

oh I'm PT too now 26h, 3 days. Not even managing that

'Tis my own fault really for not having taken proper time out (and iron tablets) earlier, during the Placenta Saga, I think. Have 4 more weeks to go incl this one.

yes but i only do 10 hours.. not worth moaning about really....

26h is quite alot imo

are you eating lots of dark chocolate?

berolina · 09/07/2007 11:47

dark chocolate has iron??? The gyn mumbled something about spinach and blackcurrants...

It is a lot, I suppose, esp over 3 days and regular-ish bouts of overtime (but just 1/2 hour's mini-commute each way). I really need the 2 days clear to take ds while dh does some work.

yes dark chocolate
sardines...
spinach obv
brown bread
beef
and orange juice to soak it all up and keep you regular

Tatties · 09/07/2007 11:54

Gosh yes get the Green & Blacks into you woman! Also dried apricots are great for iron

And really, enjoy the rest

berolina · 09/07/2007 11:56

the sardines and beef are going to have to go, I'm veggie - but how I like the idea of the chocolate

I'm sure I read somewhere that cashew nuts are good for iron too

berolina · 09/07/2007 12:01

Oh, nuts are good, except that they remind me of my unfulfillable craving for peanut butter. Haven't had any since 2004 because of being permanently pg and/or bf since then.

Do hope I can get built back up soon - not beause I'm desperate to rush back off to work, but so that ds has some good times with me before no. 2 arrives.

oh it is just not very nice having anaemia, so eat all the dark chocolate possible
