Hi all! I’m currently 38+2 weeks.
This is my first pregnancy so really don’t know what to expect, babies head had been really low for weeks so I always thought he might come early..?
Bit tmi but I’ve been leaking some type of fluid today and it’s not pee because I could control that, this is something that just seems to be coming out soo slowly in tiny bits? Was wondering what it could be?? It’s literally a clear liquid .. does anybody have any thoughts?

I would say it's a very high chance it is your waters - in which case you should give your midwife a call to let them know. Good luck!! Xx

Waters can leak as you describe. Mine did when I was pregnant with DD3.

Call your midwife or delivery unit for advice. You may need to go in to be checked.

Put on a pad (to try and catch some more) and ring triage. They'll be able to tell you what to do.

Mine leaked like this with DD1. She said that it was my ‘hind waters’ leaking.

Catch it in a pad and sniff...waters smell like bleachy sex or is that sexy bleach it's a very distinctive smell

Thank you ladies! I’m getting really nervous now, I have so much discomfort down there as babies head is so low! I have put a pad on, I’m just constantly leaking bit by bit I will definitely give the midwife a call now!

You need to ring. You're much more susceptible to infection now (as is baby). They generally like baby to come not more than 36 hours after your waters go.

Make excuses and get rid of the guests!

Good luck! Sounds like you'll be having your baby very soon :)
