Twin mums when did they come?

I am 20 weeks pregnant with twins. The consultant says they will let me go to 37 weeks at the latest before an elective C section. However I know 2 twin mums who only went to 34-35 weeks. I was wondering what other women’s experiences were.

ELCS at 37+2 and no sign of them coming!

My friend had her twins at 34+6 just after Christmas - but she had been in hospital since early December with episodes of bleeding and they had originally hoped to get her to 37 weeks before delivering. My fertility clinic have said to expect mine around 12th September even though they are due 3rd October - however that’s not in the UK and I am yet to see the midwife so that could change (but I hope it doesn’t!!)

36+5.

My friend was due in November but had hers early September at 31 weeks. Both home and doing very well! X

Had ELCS booked for 38+1 but they had other ideas and I went into labour the day before. So 38 weeks exactly, combined weight of 14 pounds!

Elcs booked for 38+2, but I developed pre-eclampsia and ended up having them at 36+5. They’d shown no signs of coming out without medical intervention!

They weighed 6.6lbs and 7.3lbs at birth.

Thanks for the answers so far. I am terrified of going into early labour. Has anyone gone into early labour Andy still been allowed a C section?
