Weeks on clear blue digital took ages to show - does it mean anything?

I found out I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago. I've had miscarriages in the past and have been very anxious. I've been using the clear blue digital with weeks indictator to check the weeks are increasing. I know it's no guarantee but in the absence of many symptoms it makes me feel like I'm doing something!

Anyway, the weeks have been increasing but i’ve noticed that although the ’pregnant’ shows up fairly quick, the number of weeks takes quite a bit longer to show. Does this mean anything? Eg. Does the fact it takes a while to show mean you have lower hcg levels and if they were higher the weeks would show quicker?

I know it’s a silly thing to worry about but as I said, I'm anxious! Has the same happened for anyone else?

I think this is always the case - just how those tests work. Definitely same for me!

It's the same for me. Takes forever.

Was the same for me as well.

Yep always take forever for the weeks to pop up. I think it’s because it’s waiting to see how dark the line gets before it give you the weeks result.

Also sorry please try and stay away from those tests if you can. I had recurrent miscarriages too and got a bit obsessed with checking the weeks were increasing. I was so so worried when they didn’t increase as they should have but everything was fine. I even had a blood test to get an accurate hcg level which had a result which should have read 3+ but was still only showing 2-3.

Congratulations and good luck with your pregnancy

Thank you for the replies! I feel a lot better. I know the testing is bad. The irony is that with my previous miscarriages the digital tests increased as expected but that didn't actually mean everything was ok so not even sure why I bother with them! I think it just makes me feel like I'm doing something. I will be stepping away from the tests now and just keeping my fingers crossed that everything turns out ok. Thanks again for the replies!
