Hi,

I use natural cycles app as my ‘form of contraception’ and have successfully used it for over a year. My cycle is pretty regular and I’ve had no issues. This month when testing for ovulation I failed to get a positive test - the lines were getting darker but never had a strong beeping line for it to be positive. I should have ovulated roughly last Tuesday. Today I have swollen breasts and a very light (barely there) light brown discharge. Could this be pregnancy related or something else?

Thanks in advance!

I used NC to prevent pregnancy for well over a year and then to get pregnant.

I gave up on LH tests as I could never get them to work properly. Apparently there is a very short window to test and depends on time of day.

However, when using the app to get pregnant, I got pregnant straight away (1st try haha) so I think even without the tests, the app does seem very accurate so I would base everything on that.

I used to get swollen breasts before my period so it could also be that.

The best thing to do, will be to do a test :)

Thank you. I’m not wanting to conceive at the moment. I lost my thermometer and only just received my replacement And now on a bunch of night shifts which will mess up my temperature taking in the mornings! I’ve just never experienced having this kind of discharge with the swollen breasts. I usually get swollen breasts around ovulation for a few days.

I did a test last week (before I would have ovulated) as I was rather ill - it was negative and doctor has put it down to a virus but can’t seem to pinpoint where it came from! But obviously this is a new cycle. Just wondering if it’s implantation bleeding or not? Not due for period for another 1 week or so 🙄
