Apologies no strictly pregnancy related but so many knowledgable mums here - hope you can help.

I gave birth 6.5 weeks ago and I believe my period has just started tonight, I even have period cramp. Baby is exclusively breastfed.... I feed regularly, he wasn’t really one for cluster feeding but does big feeds every couple hours - he is 12lbs at 6 weeks so much be consuming a good amount.

This seems ridiculously early... could anything be wrong? Should I speak to my GP?

Some mums get them even earlier even those who are entirely bf.
I wouldn't worry at all, but obviously, consider contraception!
This is why bf alone isn't a real contraception, af sneaks up on you! 😉

If you are worried at all then speak to your health team, but it's probably nothing to be concerned about. We all hear of people who are pregnant within a few months of having a baby.
I hadn't stopped bleeding from birth at that point so don't have any first hand knowledge (still had another 4 weeks to go of that mess!)
