Forgotten to take the pill a few times - could I be pregnant?

So I have been on the implant solidly for the last 9 years, I got it taken out on 21st January that was the first day of my last period, and went on the pill (progesterone only to mimic the implant) instead. I have never been good about taking the pill, hence why I went on the implant in the first place, and we're going to TTC in October so didn't want another implant put in.

At the end of the first month I realised I had missed the pill 4 times, just by counting the no of pills I had left and the no of days I should have taken them for. I'm pretty sure they weren't in a row, just over the course of a month. I have just checked the same again and it looks like I've missed two more pills. I also haven't had my period since that 21st January one. I have never tracked my periods as never had to, and they seemed to me to be a little bit irregular, however I normally have one every month or thereabouts. I just feel like normally I would have had one by now, and on top of missing pills I'm not sure what's going on.

The doctor said it normally takes at least a couple of months for cycles to regulate once you come off it completely, so surely missing a few pills you would be unlikely to conceive? But could I be pregnant?? Sorry for the long rambly post, I'm just not sure whether to wait or take a test?

You have had unprotected sex so yes you could be pregnant.

Equally, it may take a while for your cycles to kick in after being on the implant for years.
Take a test, and use condoms! If you're planning to ttc in October anyway you're as well getting the hormones out of your system and letting your cycle settle- and the pill is clearly not sensible contraception for you on any case!

Of course you could be pregnant if you aren't using contraceptives properly! Use condoms if you can't remember the pill

If it’s the progesterone only pill, you don’t take a break do you for your periods to occur? When I was on it, I just had unpredictable spotting and not regular periods at all so it may be this.

It took me two years to get pregnant after having the implant removed and I only had it in less than a year. Still, there's definitely a chance.

Take a test,if you're not pregnant set an alarm on your phone and get into the habit of taking the pill at the same time every day.
