When do you get your MATB1??

I can't remember when I have to ask for it, its been so long since I was pregnant last..

Midwife should automatically give it you you when you are about 4 months or something like that....

I've forgotten already.....time for another one to refresh my memory!!

It's somewhere around your 26 weeks appointment I think - after the 20w scan as I recall.

I am 22 weeks now, I have a scan at 24 weeks and a checkup with the consulant so I'll ask then. Thanks girls

I'm quite sure you can get it after 20 or 22 weeks and you have to hand it in to your employer by 25 weeks. I got mine and handed it in at 23 weeks but my employer lost it!!! Managed to get a copy...

PLP is right- you need to hand it to your employer by end of week 25, so anytime between 20 week scan and week 25 is about right I think.
You shouldn't have to ask for it but might need to remind the MW

Ooooh!! Is that the Sure Start one? I'm going to apply for that this week - from what I've researched you can apply after 29 weeks but I don't recall seeing anything about needing a MATB1 for it? I'll go have a look now...

I thought you needed it, but I have just looked and its doesn't say you do. My mistake sorry! I am worried about it being 29 weeks as I am normally in hospital at that point on bedrest, and I deliver early so DH might be the one buying baby stuff..
