I've been in the hospital since Wednesday due to low fluid around baby, consultant thinks the placenta is failing and wants to keep a close eye. I have a section booked for Monday when we will be 36+1. I just feel time is dragging, I am so bored of just sitting waiting here on my own. I haven't seen anyone since I got here, I bought a book and my tablet but there is only so much you can look at, I refuse to pay to watch the TV lol, I've had a bit of a wander around downstairs but I'm starting to go a bit stir crazy now. Is anyone else currently in the hospital? How are you passing the time? Anyone fancy just chatting while stuck here?

Hi op! Im not stuck in hospital but recognise you from another thread we were both on! (Large family and pregnant)

I have been off work all week with spd and its just getting worse and worse. And i am only 14+2!

Is there no one who can visit you?

Dreamzcancometrue · 09/03/2019 17:41

Yes im in hospital atm. Waiting for the pessory I have been induced with to kick start my contractions etc. I have been here since 12ish and im already bored AF! My mum is my birth partner but has gone home as nothing is really happening. MW pop their heads in every now and again but im pretty much alone. I just wish this baby would hurry up and come out lol. Think happy thoughts!!

Hi op I would be going stir crazy too. We may be able to come up with some sort of hospital bingo.

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 10/03/2019 10:06

Haha thanks ladies, loving the idea of hospital bingo! Midwifes seem to leave me alone for the most part, till I want to sleep! Then they need to do obs, put baby on the monitor or stab me with something haha manage to persuade my grandparents to bring my youngest two up to see me later as I'm missing them like crazy, it's just hard as we have no local hospitals so they are over an hour away. I'm starting to freak out a bit about tomorrow's section but at the same time can't wait for it to be over. Sorry to hear others are suffering too

Flowers sorry to hear you’re stuck in, alone and bored! Are you in a room on your own or on a ward? If on a ward, can you make an effort to chat to the other ladies around you? (When I was in hospital, both ante and post-natally, everyone just kept their curtains closed!)

IVEgottheDECAF · 10/03/2019 12:07

Op tomorrow you get newborn cuddles!

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 10/03/2019 12:21

I'm in a private room, I was getting on really well with the ladies either side of me but the hospital like to get people in an out as fast as possible so I've had at least 12 neighbours since I got here lol. I've had a bit of a wobble this morning and couldn't stop crying, I had to sign the consent form, do swabs and have bloods taken, the doctor went through everything with me in regards of what will happen in the morning, it just suddenly got very real! I'm absolutely terrified now but very ready to meet my princess, fingers crossed she doesn't need to go to nicu

36+1 is a good gestation

How old are the youngest two?

Exhaustedmummy1811 · 10/03/2019 14:38

The youngest two are 3 and 4 I've not seen them since Wednesday at 7am so maybe an emotional wreck when they leave lol
