14 week bleed

Is anyone awake for some reassurance or hand holding?

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and just woke up thinking I'd wet myself, there was light pink blood (almost like diluted blood) and then I passed a clot about 3 inches long.

I called maternity triage and they want me to keep and eye on it for a few hours and call if it gets worse or more clots. She said it was common in the 2nd trimester but i'm terrible at waiting and seeing.

Has anyone had this at about 14 weeks and it's all been ok?

I've had a rough pregnancy and have been very moany, I almost feel like I've caused this by being so negative and ungrateful. I know that's stupid.

I bled heavily in my first pregnancy at 12 weeks and went on to have a healthy baby. Goid luck op.

I had this at 13 weeks - everything was well and I was reassured by doctors that it's actually very common. It didn't happen again in my pregnancy but I know some women have bleeds all the way through. I hope all is well x

Thank you. The bleeding hasn't got any worse, no pain or any more clots. Will try to sleep now and book a private scan as soon as the clinic opens. I'd rather know if something is wrong than wait to see what happens.

I had bleeds on and off all the way through with dd whom I am having beautiful snuggles with
It can be caused just by having an increased blood flow down there but is still scary.

So sorry to hear you are having an anxious time.
Having been in this situation before I'd say to go to the hospital and ask for a scan and a cervical examination to check your cervix length.

I had another scan on Thursday and bleed has disappeared x

Yes, I’ve had this around 13-14 weeks. Heavy bleeding with clots, no pain, all was well and they never found a reason. Hope you’re doing okay this morning and can get a scan soon.
