Anterior placenta. Anyone else?

Hi I’m 20+2 with my second DC and have an anterior placenta. If you also have or had an anterior placenta when did you start to feel movements regularly? I occasionally am feeling something on my left side very low down. I had an anterior placenta with my DD but was pregnant so long ago that I have forgotten! Many thanks ☺️

Yup, this is my first pregnancy and I have an anterior placenta. I didn't feel baby at all until 24 weeks! I'm now almost 40 weeks (due tomorrow!) and feel her move all the time Smile

@CobaltRose96 ah so a little while until I can expect some regular movements. I was trying to remember when I felt my DD, I’m sure it was around 25 weeks. The kicks used to make me jump. Congratulations to you ☺️

I’m 19+2 with my second and have anterior placenta too. I’m not sure if I have felt the any move or not.

Me too! I'm 21wks today and I haven't felt anything convincing. I had my scan 12 days ago and she was in there wiggling away though.

The lack of movement is freaking me out, but I know it's not unusual

I’ve had an anterior placenta with two of my four babies and I felt them move (both regular pattern and strength) in order (so DC1 was the latest to have a pattern and was anterior whereas DC2 was second longer but posterior etc) so I think the placenta had little to do with it for me and it was all about how weak my stomach muscles were in subsequent pregnancies.

I have an anterior placenta, I still managed to feel definite movement from 18 weeks though. It wasn't regular and everyday movement until around 21 or 22 weeks though, and even then some days I would feel very minimal movement and some days he would be going crazy! I think there's more to it than just placenta position... I think baby position, and just how active they are play a part too. I'm sure the days I don't feel him as much is probably because he's either in a different position or I'm busy all day walking around so either putting him to sleep or I just don't notice the movements.
