Panicking - forgot my Pregnacare supplements

Please help me.. I’m seriously panicking.

I’m away in Devon for 4 nights and i’ve forgotten to pack my sodding Pregnacare tablets!

I am only 14 weeks. Is it going to be harmful to not take for this period?

We’re nowhere near a town so no chance of nipping to a local Boots or something.

I’m sure I read somewhere it’s not esstential to take them after 12 weeks. Is this the case? I’ve been religiously taking them since BFP (5 weeks) so I should have a good amount of everything included in my system.

I’m fretting so much I could cry!!!!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I only took folic acid during my last pregnancy and only til 12 weeks - you'll be fine :)

Jackshouse · 07/03/2019 22:23

It’s fine. You just need them mostly for your general health as the baby steals all your vits and minerals.

avacadooo · 07/03/2019 22:23

I couldn't take any vitamins at all because of my sickness and everything looks fine and I haven't started taking them and I'm 17 weeks. You'll be fine.
Sister also has three healthy children and didn't take any for all three.

gg96cgp · 07/03/2019 22:23

You'll be fine. Just start taking them again once you're home.

mynameiscalypso · 07/03/2019 22:23

Please don't worry at all. The advice is that you should take folic acid until 12 weeks (which you've done) and vitamin D is helpful too. Everything else is just a bonus. You'll be absolutely fine - if you're really worried, just eat a few more helpings of fruit and veg!

UterusUterusGhali · 07/03/2019 22:25

It's fine!
As mentioned lots of leafy green veg and eat wholemeal bread and you're golden. :)

Wedgiecar58 · 07/03/2019 22:26

Ok thanks a lot.

Phew!!

I was thinking that was the case with the folic acid, good to know it’s the same for all the other vits.

Another one saying don't worry. They are for you, like a pp said, not your baby at this point.

Breathe and think about it for a minute. Did pregnacare exist fifty years ago? Did your grandmothers manage to carry your parents? You have your answer.

Wingingthis · 07/03/2019 22:30

I never took pregnacare & vommed up my folic acid often! Now have a thriving 18 mo x
