Terrible start to second trimester

I am 14 weeks tomorrow so just into second trimester and I need to rant because I feel absolutely awful.

I got off lightly in the first trimester with no sickness, slight nausea for a couple of weeks and was just quite tired.

Last week or so I have been EXHAUSTED and yet am struggling to sleep, my hip is hurting, I have lost my appetite and I now have a ridiculously painful anal fissure from constipation to add to my joy.

I knew pregnancy would be tough but I thought the second trimester was supposed to be the easiest 😫

Any advice on all the above btw? My next midwife appt is 16 weeks but should I see GP about the hip and fissure in the meantime?

Every pregnancy is different unfortunately - there is no set way to be feeling. I'm in my third trimester now and have felt rough the entire way through.

I would speak to your GP about the fissure for sure - everything else just sounds like normal pregnancy stuff.

The second trimester thing is a myth, I think it's common to feel better from 18-20 weeks, but not as soon as it starts. I still had nausea and sickness until 16 weeks.
