When to expect booking appointment

Evening ladies! So I am 6.5 weeks with my first baby.. rang my local midwife team last week and they took all my details and said someone would be in touch with my first appointment but not heard anything yet! I know the appointment should be around 8 weeks and will need a bit of notice for work. Just wondered if this was typical and I should hang on longer or maybe give them a ring!

I self referred at 5 weeks and had a letter about 10 days later, for an appointment at 9 weeks.

I’m 7+4, self referred and they called 5 days later and my booking appointment I’ll be 9+5.

I was 12+1 (though by nhs dates at the time I was 11+4). I think I was 7 weeks when I first called them but they were very busy, couldn't be seen by the midwife round the corner and had to go to the next nearest one. They managed to fit me in for my scan 10 days later so I didn't miss the NT test.

I didn't have mine until 11 weeks and was no problem because they still got my scan sorted on time. The policy where I am is to see at 8 weeks at the very earliest - I would call them when you get to 8 weeks, but not before.

Thanks everyone. Seems to be completely random and different everywhere! I’ll give them a ring end of next week if I’ve not heard anything

Think I called mine at 7+5. Got a call about a week later to tell me the earliest appointment will be for when I will be 11+2. Think my local midwives are a tad overwhelmed at the moment. Only a few days to go now at least.

I called mine when I got a positive at 4 weeks booked my appointment on the phone that say for when I'm 8 weeks. Not very busy here though
