Hospital bed rest until c-section

I have placenta previa and I am 37 weeks today. I have my c-section booked in for 37+5.
I came into hospital this morning due to a bleed. I'm fine and so is the baby which is great but I've got to stay in hospital now until the c-section.
I have no idea how I'm going to deal with being so bored and restless and feeling so anxious the whole time just counting down until Tuesday.... 😔

Do they just want you in hospital, if so you can get off the ward and walk around and visit the cafe or do they want you in bed?

Books & ear plugs, Netflix (does your hospital have WiFi?) & headphones. When I was in I found audio books vital for getting any sleep at night, the ward was so noisy.

I got a room with a tv so at least had that distraction.

I was also suddenly really sleepy being in hospital so lazed around a lot

No TVs. No WiFi 👎🏼 I've got a few books and magazines. They have said bedrest until the weekend and if I haven't had a bleed I can maybe leave for a few hours. I should ask about maybe having a walk to the cafe or something 😊 I know I'm in the best place and I shouldn't moan but It's going to be hard. x

If you've data on your phone look at the evidence around bedrest, it's actually pretty controversial! Have a read, and then if you'd rather be mobile ask to discuss it and why they think you should be on bedrest, with what evidence.
I'll see if I can find you some links (you may also decide bedrest sounds right for you, obvs)

You could start here, there is some denser, more scientific stuff available too!
