Hot flashes and panic attacks when pregnant?

I mean it's probably normal, but I'm finding it really hard to cope with the anxiety attacks I'm having. I'm 34 weeks pregnant and this has only happened in the third trimester, although we have moved into our new flat where it can get kind of hot sometimes (not ridiculously warm though).

It usually happens when I'm in the kitchen washing up or cooking, I suddenly start to feel really hot and sick and I feel as if I can't breathe. I have to stop what I'm doing immediately because I feel like I'm going to pass out, and I literally have to hang my head out the window and sit down to try and calm myself down. It keeps happening and it's really starting to have an affect on everyday life at the minute, I'm currently going to be late for work because I thought I'd do the dishes before leaving and now Im lying on my bed trying to catch my breath.

Before pregnancy I had associated panic attacks with getting hot, like when I'm in the bathroom with all the steam or in the shower this has been known to trigger panic attacks. Anyone else experience this and if I go to the doctor would they be able to help at all?

yep me!! I'm 34+5 and have exactly the same thing. Hot hospital waiting rooms with no air trigger me quite badly.

I have recently invested in a mini fan that I can take around with me, and find that it's really good at mimicking fresh air so I don't feel too claustrophobic.

We also have to remember we're heavily pregnant and it's really important to rest! Don't feel bad about needing a lie down by an open window, and take it easy. My OH is on washing up duties.

It might also be worth speaking to your midwife and getting your iron checked, have you had your 34 week appointment yet?
