Anyone else suffering?
Any hints or tips on how to deal with it?
I am usually a very good sleeper (and I am the type of person who needs a lot of sleep!) I also already have 3 kids who also sleep well and did from a very young age (sympathy to those mummas out there whose babies don’t sleep)
I am so exhausted come school run time each day I sent my eldest to collect my other 2 yesterday and went to bed! Problem is I also go to work at 5pm (carer, split shifts) and I am finding it too exhausting to be preparing kids dinners before I go, and feel dreadful whilst I’m at work! Giving up is not an option yet because I’m only 17 weeks and we really need the money atm!
I’m also wondering if being this is my fourth and I didn’t suffer with insomnia with the others (although I happily worked night shifts back then) am I likely to have a nocturnal baby? Silly question but the insomnia is making me anxious about everything lol!

Hi I suffered with insomnia on & off for around 20 weeks. It’s awful and so frustrating. I just had to ride it out I know it’s not what you want to hear but I couldn’t find anything that worked. The only thing I would say is sometimes I would sleep 2 hours a night then sleep during the day. Don’t sleep during the day, or try not to. You’ll find it even harder to break your sleeping patterns which will add to the insomnia. I also had no sugar after 7pm but again it didn’t really do much for me. It did ease by 22 weeks. Maybe suggest going to see your doctor or speak to your midwife. I hope it goes away soon Flowers

Oh I forgot to say. Don’t worry about baba they’ll be fine. My baby is doing really well & I struggled for months. They will get what they need x

@Lou0219 thanks, yesterday was the only day I actually slept during the day, normally I’m exhausted and yet wide awake in the afternoon at the same time!
I usually can’t bare to eat anything past 6/7pm either. I just really want to feel better, was expecting to get to second trimester and feel good and instead I just feel drained and rough ALL the time! Here’s to hoping I feel better soon! And congratulations on your little bundle x
