So I'm 9 weeks pregnant and this morning I had bright red blood just like gush out, there was no clots but it was bright red and there was quite a bit. I obviously began to panic and managed to book an early scan a few hours later. The bleeding then turned to spotting and my scan revealed a happy little baby that was wriggling around, a healthy heartbeat and everything appeared great. Now it's later at night I thought the bleeding and spotting had come to an end and was feeling super positive but I just went to the toilet not long ago and there's more bright red blood. Has anyone else had this happen and everything been okay? It's really stressing me out that I'm bleeding for no reason Confused

It hasnt happened to me but it happened to my manager and she freaked out too but everything was fine baby was born healthy. Try not to worry the stress wont help. If your scan today was fine then im sure everything will be fine ❤

Yes! And at 9 weeks but I had clots too and after 2 previous losses I knew it was over. Sat in the shower with wine crying my eyes out. Scan next day, baby was fine. Bled again at 11 weeks and continuously until 17 weeks nothing was picked up at scans and no reason given. At 12 week scan she told me I had an extra chronicic hemorrage attached to sac and it should bleed out or reabsorb. It did and I'm now 30 weeks :) bleeding is awful and stressful especially when theres no reason why. Hope you have a happy healthy pregnancy xx

I also had no pain what so ever which I learnt was a positive x

I also had this, massive gush with no warning. Think I was 8 weeks. Like previous poster, I had had 2 mc prior to that so expected the worst but this was very different (other times was brown blood slowly getting worse and thicker). Mine was also a blood clot, they saw it on the scan. I actually then spotted brown blood for a couple of weeks but think that was just blood from clot making its way out. Also no pain which is a good sign. Baby now 2! Good luck, it is so stressful.

This exact thing happened to me. GP put it down to my placenta implanting. I had a big blob of bright reds blood in my knickers and then I spotted watery pink blood for 24 hours. I was terrified but all was ok.

It happened to me a lot with first pregnancy and I literally went insane with worry - even now nearly 4 years later I still catch myself checking toilet paper and I'm
Not even pregnant!

Me! At 7 weeks, I was subsequently scanned and they found a heartbeat. I was told that at that stage there was a (forget figure) high % of going on to have a healthy pregnancy -and I did, albeit with another bleed at 32ish weeks

Thanks for your replies it's so reassuring to hear other people's experiences that turned out positive. It must be more common than they let on. All's I've been told by professionals is "only worry if you have bright red bleeding" so obviously when i began bleeding this morning I immediately began to panic, cried on the phone to everyone thinking the worst. I haven't had any cramping so fingers crossed the bleedings just something really minor that isn't going to affect anything

I've had this too. I had it on/off up until 20 weeks with my last pregnancy and it was very scary. I always used to get it checked out and it was all down to a haematoma.
Apparently red blood is usually okay - it's brown blood that you need to worry about.
