Hi. This is my first pregnancy and I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. Over the last week I’ve been going to the toilet very frequently, it’s felt like my body is having a clear out, but I also have IBS so I don’t know if this is the cause or not. But the last couple of days I’ve been using the toilet even more, I can feel so much pressure from baby around my bum, period pains on and off and earlier on I lost what looked like some of my mucus plug in the toilet! Does labour sound like it might happen soon or could this go on for ages yet? Bearing in mind I’ve had the loose bowels and period type cramps for about a week now. I saw midwife on Monday and baby was 3/5 engaged but I’m feeling a lot more pressure down low since then.

Sounds promising!

Have you spoken to your midwife?

When's your next appointment.

Unless waters break or your contractions are frequent and close together it could take some time!

My waters broke at 38 weeks, 12 hours after I lost my mucus plug
