I second the book idea.
I used to make a diaper cake with a bottle of their favourite alcohol in the middle, topped with a thrifted outfit and a jellycat cuddly toy.

A beautiful pram blanket/quilt.
A basket with chocs, face mask, slippers, a nice bath soak for mum.
