I am 24 weeks pregnant with my first baby (due 20/06/19) and have been looking at the Babymoov Cosydream and also baby pillows due to the amazing reviews on Amazon. However, I mentioned this to my midwife at my last appointment and she said no do not use as they are dangerous and can cause over heating. Any advice would be much appreciated if anyone has used these products, thanks Smile

I wouldn't use a 'pillow' as such, a sleepyhead at the most, your setting yourself up for failure making baby feel that 'enclosed' xx

Here's the guidance on which products are safe for babies from the Lullaby Trust, the SIDS charity who work with the NHS and other health bodies. It's clear that no pillows or nests should be used

None of them are in line with sids guidelines for sleeping - as the baby can turn their head into the side restricting their oxygen/making them breathe carbon dioxide. See this and this - nests and pods aren’t recommended. However as a parent you make your own decisions about risks so just make sure you are thoroughly informed of the facts (and lots of people telling you they used a sleepyhead is anecdote not factual information about risk)
