Slight brown spotting - 11 wks

We are 11 weeks pregnant and have our dating scan next Tues.

So far in pregnancy I have experienced no bleeding or spotting or discharge.

Last night my husband and I had sex and it felt a little uncomfortable at the time. Afterwards I used the bathroom and after having a wee I noticed that there was slight brown tinge on the tissue - nothing fluid and It wasn't blood - just light brown colouring.

My husband said he has read that its not uncommon to have spotting in pregnancy, especially after sex.

I don't know whether I should be worried or not - should I just wait until my scan next Tues or should I go to an EPAC walk in clinic at my hospital tomorrow morn (they are shut for the day now 8.30 - 9.00 walk in basis) to ensure everything is ok?

Its our first child so I think anxiety is playing a part and I am unsure of what is normal and what isn't.

Thank you x

I think you are fine, doesn't even sound like spotting tbh! I had an internal scan and had blood afterwards as obvs it irritated the cervix they said that was normal so it is probably normal after intercourse xx

Having sex probably irritated your cervix slightly. I think it’s quite common. If there is no cramping and/or red blood then I really wouldn’t worry, I had some brown spotting around the 8/9 week mark and I’m 38 weeks now! I’m sure you’ll be fine x

Thank you so much.
I didn't want to go to clinic tomorrow unnecessarily as I would rather it be used by people in real emergencies or those who are experiencing heavy bleeding or other scary complications. I think if I wasn't due to have my dating scan next Tues I would likely try and make some sort of enquiry into it, but fingers crossed we will have reassurance next week.
Really helpful comments thank you to all xx
