What to expect

Hi. I'm only 17 and having a sweep in the next couple of days I'm just wondering what to expect? Also can someone please tell me what to expect from labour? I'm really nervous about labour. I'm absolutely terrified. That would be a better word to use. I'm currently 36+6.

Do you have anybody to support you through this? A partner or parents?

36+6 is very early for a sweep, is there a reason they are doing this so early?

Birth is completely different for every woman and there is no catch-all answer but it can be a completely positive experience if you are prepared and as relaxed as you can be. If I were you, I would speak to your midwife asap about how anxious you are feeling and they will answer any and all of your questions, you might feel more relaxed if you know exactly what to expect
