Stomach feels tender after scan

Is it normal (or not abnormal) for your lower stomach to feel a bit bruised after a sonogram? I'm sure it's because they pushed hardish to get through all my fat haha because it's only where she was using the scan yesterday.

Yes, sometimes they have to push hard.

I’m very slim and scans hurt, so I don’t think it is to do with your weight as much as the baby being very small and them needing to push hard to get a good view.

Yup! I felt like she bruised me at my 12 week scan

Same, I was hurting the whole next day after the first one.

I agree with PolarBear, it's nothing to do with your weight! I'm very slim and I definitely feel bruised after scans. Especially after 20 week scan which lasted for around 45 minutes, I could still feel it for the next two days.
