Pressure when walking

I'm 23 + 5 and have noticed that when I walk for more than 10/15 minutes I get a sort of pressure feeling quite low down. The only way I can really describe this is that the baby feels heavy (if that makes any sense??). Does anyone have any ideas what this could be or whether I should be worried slightly?

I have had exactly the same feeling since 23 weeks too, I'm 29 now. My last lo came unexpectedly at 29 weeks so ive been very much on edge about it. I've had irritable uterus too, which hasnt helped my anxiety!
I'm afraid I can't be super helpful except to say that I am still pregnant 6 weeks after that started. I've also been checked a lot and my cervix is still closed. I don't know what is normal tbh though so always get checked if you're unsure about something

@KateTTC123 thank you very much for your reply. This is my first pregnancy so a little unsure of what to expect and what is normal! I'm currently away but might speak with my midwife when I'm back. I have a very 'busy baby' as the midwife described him who is constantly moving so I'm hoping he's just got himself into a low down position that I'm finding a tad uncomfortable. Glad to hear you're still doing well!

I get this aswell I’m 27 weeks I just assumed it was the position they’ve got themselves in low down ? Xx

I got this too OP when I was around 20-25 weeks. I used to walk to the shop on my work lunch break which was around a 10 min brisk walk and by the time I got there by Biko was achey with pressure, felt like I needed to sit down. I’m 37 weeks now though so it never turned out to be an issue :)

*bump, not Biko!

I'm 33 weeks and had what you call pressure it's almost like a stitch on my right hand side after 10mins of walking it started around week 23/24 and hasn't gone away for me. Midwife just says it's due to ligaments being relaxed and not to worry

Thank you all for your responses. I'm feeling slightly more calm about this if it's something a few people have experienced! I may just mention it at my next appointment but don't feel quite as panicky as I did before!!

I have this too 29 weeks and said it to my MW last week and she said it’s just to do with the position the baby is in and not too worry. I also have a very active baby 👶

I had this with both of my pregnancies. By near the end with number two I was half expecting to look down and see a head 😜 both were very uneventful pregnancies and births at term. Ask your midwife if you are concerned but I do think it is quite normal.

KateTTC123 · 06/03/2019 06:46

My baby is also really active; maybe it's related to that then?

I’ve had similair sensation from second trimester - super low down and achey and vagina feels bruised! Baby has been head down since around 20 weeks though so guessing it was to do with position. I’m at 37 weeks now and although I still have that bruised and heavy feeling you kinda get use to it! Baby is still head down too. Check wiyh midwife just incase :) first timer here too so had no idea what’s been going on. Also had bum pains!
