Got an early scan tomorrow at the epu and I'm absolutely terrified 🙈

No pregnancy symptoms and what I did have (sore boobs, headaches) has disappeared. Went to the doctors today he did a pregnancy test and it was still positive and I'm around 10 weeks. I've just got a feeling that it won't be good news tomorrow 😔 I'm absolutely dreading it.

I hope you are wrong and all is well l. Keeping my fingers crossed

Darkstar4855 · 05/03/2019 17:15

Symptoms often do ease off at this stage as the placenta develops and your hormone levels settle down a bit. Fingers crossed it’s good news for you.

Lisalou88 · 05/03/2019 17:16

Stay positive, my symptoms all disappeared for a few days last week and I was convinced it was bad news but got an early scan and everything was fine. Keeping everything crossed for you.

Megan2018 · 05/03/2019 17:17

I felt like that, 10wk scan was fine, 12wk scan was fine.
I have had very minor symptoms throughout. All was well.

You will still get a +ve test result with a MMC though, so that means nothing - but if you have had no pain or bleeding MMC is very rare.

CountessVonBoobs · 05/03/2019 17:17

It's normal for pregnancy symptoms to disappear at 10 weeks as that's right when the placenta comes online. I had a two week hiatus in nausea and exhaustion from 10 to 12 weeks both time (it kicked back in for a reunion tour from 12 to 14 weeks).

I can't promise you all will be well, nobody can, but based on what you've posted it sounds like a perfectly normal continuing pregnancy, and the odds are very in favour of that being the case.

Lemonsquinky · 05/03/2019 17:17

I had an early scan for ds1. I was bleeding and I was sure I'd miscarry. It was all panic. He's 14.
Try not to think the worst. I think it's worse when you don't know. Absorb yourself with something you enjoy tonight. Thanks

chocolatelog · 05/03/2019 17:24

Thank you all, I'm panicking because this pregnancy so far has been so different to my others. I had awful morning sickness and sore boobs from the get go with my last 2 pregnancies and this time nothing! Apart from tiredness, headaches and feeling hungry all the time I've not had any ms not even one gag on the toothbrush 🙈 the doctor said today that my body could of changed and I'm just having an easy time this time around.

Sorry to bore you all I know there's nothing that can be done if somethings gone wrong but I just needed somewhere to put this, dh is the only one who knows as we're keeping it quiet for a while.

Just wanted to say I hope all goes well tomorrow and that you're not alone. I'm feeling exactly the same way and have booked an early scan for Friday. I've read a lot about people saying symptoms ease around now so I'm hanging on to that. Keeping fingers crossed for both of us 🤞

chocolatelog · 05/03/2019 17:29

@russiandwarf thank you 😊 good luck for Friday x

@chocolatelog I hope all goes well for you at the scan. You're not alone, I'm just over 9 weeks and I feel like my symptoms have gone too Sad hoping you get some good news tomorrow x

chocolatelog · 05/03/2019 17:35

Thank you @missrose0110 it's so worrying, especially when your used to feeling like shit right about now 😔

Babycakes1989 · 05/03/2019 17:42

I had an early scan at 9 weeks. No sickness, boobs lost their soreness and I just didn’t feel pregnant. All was well. It reassured me for a bit and my 12 week is next week and I’m bricking it again! I had a mmc last year. All I can say is all the odds are in your favour 💐💖 most pregnancy’s continue and are healthy. Stay strong and let us know how you get in. Your not alone xx

russiandwarf · 05/03/2019 17:43

Honestly if it wasn't so stressful it would be ridiculous! We're all desperately hoping to feel sick again and have more painful boobs! It does feel good to be able to share with you x

chocolatelog · 05/03/2019 17:57

@Babycakes1989 thank you I have my 12 week scan in 2 weeks but I couldn't wait that long, if there's a problem I want to know now. I will definitely update tomorrow .

Wolfiefan · 05/03/2019 17:58

Good luck tomorrow. My pregnancies were very different. One boy and one girl. Maybe a coincidence but maybe not.

Babycakes1989 · 05/03/2019 17:58

Let the person scanning know your nervous if you haven’t already. With me she quickly went over tummy and said yep there’s a heartbeat and that instantly reassured me. She then had to do internal as I have a tilted cervix so she could see more. Think positive ❤️❤️Xx

Lauraliverpool · 05/03/2019 18:20

Hi I have an early reassurance scan tomorrow morning as had right sided pain two weeks ago they ruled out ectopic pregnancy. I'm scared and anxious just thinking about going into that room in the epau, had a missed miscarriage last June. Do have sore boobs and some nausea, just really trying to be positive and think to myself this is a new pregnancy. Xx

HollowTalk · 05/03/2019 18:22

OP, think of those women who don't realise they're pregnant until their babies are almost due. They didn't have symptoms.

Are your other children the same sex? If so, this one might be different!

chocolatelog · 05/03/2019 22:16

Thank you all, I know I'm probably being silly but I'm just not used to easy pregnancies.

I had sore boobs for the first 2 weeks then it stopped. No nausea nothing 🤷🏻‍♀️ finger crossed 🤞🏼all goes well tomorrow.

CobaltRose96 · 05/03/2019 22:28

Try not to worry. I can understand it though, as I've previously had a miscarriage which wasn't picked up until my 12 week scan.

However, with this pregnancy all of my symptoms vanished almost overnight at 9/10 weeks. I was terrified and convinced myself history had repeated itself. I booked a private scan which revealed a healthy bean kicking away. I'm now 39 weeks Smile

Oh, and all of my symptoms returned with a vengeance about a week later. Grin

tadpole39 · 05/03/2019 22:33

I had four mmc between two children. Each time it went wrong I had loads of symptoms and positive tests, so there’s no rhyme or reason to it!

chocolatelog · 06/03/2019 14:54

So just got back from the scan and it looks like it could be a blighted ovum. Sac was measuring 6+5 but was empty 😔 I've been told to go back next week so they can re scan me just to make sure, but I know it won't make any difference because I knew something was not right about this pregnancy. Sometimes you just get that feeling 😢

So sorry Sad

CobaltRose96 · 06/03/2019 15:32

So so sorry OP. Same thing happened to me at my 12 week scan. It's utterly heartbreaking and you have my sympathies. Sad

Amyszymm · 06/03/2019 15:43

@chocolatelog So sorry hunni 😔 xx
